Adopt a Shelter Cat Month

This month is "adopt a shelter cat month" so we are featuring cats all month. In addition there are five adult spayed/neutered cats up for adoption on a "make a donation" basis. This means their adoption cost is not set it is based on whatever the adopter wants to donate. There are five other adult cats that are on a "make a donation" for their adoption fee but are not spayed/neutered. The shelter will take these cats once adopted to the vet and the new owner can pick them up from the vet clinic where they would pay the clinic for the spay or neuter. A normal adoption fee for a cat is fifty dollars and an average neuter is under a hundred with a spay being under a hundred and fifty. If going to another clinic (other than St. Paul) the adopter would leave a one hundred dollar deposit that is refunded when the cat has been spayed or neutered within a set time line. Walk in hours are one to four Monday through Sunday, closed only on statutory holidays. Appointments can be made after hours for adoptions.

It is adopt a shelter cat month (for real). We are currently at capacity with cats. We have an wide age and color range from three kittens that are not old enough until the end of next week or so up to some sponsored seniors and all ages in between., Sponsorship of one of our cats means someone has donated funds towards their keep, spay, neuter or adoption. In this case we have four cats who have been sponsored for adoption. This allows us (in this case) to reduce their adoption fees. All four are spayed or neutered, three are over ten years old and one is around four years old. All adoption fees for these four will be on a donation basis. (whatever the adopter wants to donate to adopt them.,) Sponsoring a pet is a wonderful way to help out the shelter animals and the sponsor can be specific or general, can sponsor one time or recurrent.
There are a number of ways to sponsor:
1. Click on the donations button (paypal) and specify in notes what you want your donation to be used for.,
2. Click on the Sponsor button by the pet when viewing pets.
3. Click on the canadahelps button and choose from the pull down menu.
Shop and Share
Check out shop and share, click on it and you can choose a charity (hopefully the st paul animal shelter) from the menu. Then go online shopping. This is free and the companies you order from donate to the charity you have chosen.
