Clicking on the Amazon link helps too....If your purchases are done through the window on our site Amazon will donate a small percentage of all sales to the shelter. So purchasing a book, computer, camera, e reader, music or other product through Amazon.ca? Click from here and help out the critters, it does not cost you anything, the donation comes from Amazon not the consumer. They have some great books, I have chosen a few of my fav's to get you started. I have purchased books and electronics through them many times in the past and find them to be reliable and have quick delivery times, as well as free delivery and payments are secure.

Memberships

Memberships are once again available for the St. Paul Animal Shelter. You can download the page and sign up on our website or you can pick up a form at the shelter. Whenever a non-profit such as us request any type of grant or participation in spay/neuter programs etc. we are asked how many members we have and each one counts. The more members the more likely the outside organization will help out. As of this year we are also able to give membership cards, pins and pass on any other promotions that are sent our way by animal related companies. So help out, show your support for the animals and get your memberships. If you would like to have your picture on the card you need to come to the shelter to have it taken, If you want to purchase your pet a membership you may do that as well and we will put your pets picture on the membership card. (pets will not be counted as voting members or as members for grant purposes, it is just for fun.) A membership also gives you the option of coming to any board meetings if you want and commenting on the blog, facebook and twitter well as the right to vote at AGM's.if you want to, you are not obligated.
Please allow ten days for your application to be processed and the membership cards to be made.
Thank you

  • The newest additions came in, the kittens are a little timid at this time. They were born July 02/2010. Their mom was adopted as well as one of the kittens. Four of the six are at the shelter with the other two arriving tomorrow.
  • Wolfgang Bear goes to his new home tomorrow, he will have a few hour long car ride and will most likely enjoy every minute of it.
  • We have a couple more new additions: A very timid black, tan and white small dog wearing a collar is in the pound and not too pleased about it.
  • We also have a very timid Shih Tzu/Pom cross who would do much better in a foster situation so we are looking for a rescue willing to take her.
  • Our next Bingo is this Friday, We could use one more volunteer.
  • We need more volunteers for the bingo on Sunday Evening September 12
  • Thank you to all the people who are helping out at the pancake breakfast in front of Co-op this Saturday morning. We will be there from six AM to just before the parade starts serving pancakes and sausage.
See you there!
